Once upon a time…

In a contemporary version of “Little Red Riding Hood,” a young girl tricks her Midwestern family and sets out on her own to contend with the wolves of the world. While in Florida, Red learns that the world is a much more frightening place than she had imagined. She meets Kayla, an older, worldlier companion, who helps steer her away from danger. Together, they battle the elements as they venture to see the wild horses of Cumberland Island. Happily ever after does not come easily, or without a price, when Red encounters a Big Bad Wolf who doesn’t want her to travel alone.
